Law enforcement officials roamed the streets in Ratanda to ensure residents are complying with the regulations. A road block was also set up on the R549 just outside of Ratanda and on the N3 just before the De Hoek Toll Plaza. Vehicles were pulled over to inspect roadworthiness and the number of occupants.

According to law enforcement members, they find that most residents adhere to the lockdown rules and regulations and urge all members of the public to give their full cooperation during the lockdown. Regular patrols and roadblocks will be implemented throughout Heidelberg starting today.
