Jordaan to join the ranks of pensioners after decades of service

NIGEL - Family, friends, colleagues and business partners gathered in celebration on November 7 to bid farewell to respected businessman Gerry Jordaan, who will now be joining the ranks of pensioners.

Jordaan, a chartered accountant and auditor from GL Jordaan and Co and a serving member of the community, has retired after 41 years in practice. The man who obtained his masters degree in accounting at tender age of 21 years, arrived in Nigel in 1963 and started his own accounting practice in 1972.

During the farewell ceremony in his honour, Jordaan thanked his staff for contributing to the company’s successs and also thanked his clients for their loyal support throughout the years.

Gerry and his wife Nola will be relocating to KwaZulu-Natal soon.

“I cannot think of a better group of directors to take over the reigns from me. I wish to assure all my clients that they will remain in safe hands with JZA Accounting,“ Jordaan said.

In response, co-director of JZA Accounting, Johan Zwarts said they are priviliged to follow in the footsteps of a true legend and he welcomed Jordaan to return to his former desk any time.
