Nigel Primary School welcomes Mr Nkosi as new deputy

Nigel Primary School has welcomed Sakhele Peter Nkosi as the new deputy principal on August 1.

The 46-year-old educator was born in Chaterston (better known as Alrapark) in 1973 where he was raised under the tutelage of his grandmother Emily Nkosi.

“My educational journey started at Sibonisiwe Primary School, from where I moved on to Zakheni Senior Primary School.  I completed my high school career at NN Ndebele Secondary School in Duduza and went to study for my teacher’s diploma at the Daveyton College of Education,” Nkosi said.

He also embarked on furthering his studies in Johannesburg from 2010 to 2013 and achieved an Advanced Teachers Certificate and B. Ed. Hon. He started teaching at Sizwesethu Primary School in 1998 as a post level 1 educator, but soon he was promoted to the head of department at Dan Radebe Primary School.
Nkosi is married to Lindiwe, who is also an educator and the couple is blessed with two daughters.

“It is a privilege for me to be part of Nigel Primary School. I am hoping to learn a lot from the principal Mrs Bowman, fellow colleagues, parents and the SGB.”
