Accident on N3 claims one, highway still closed
A single vehicle accident on the N3-South bound just before the Petroport has left motorists at a standstill.
According to EMPD Accident Investigator RW Dormehl, a woman and her two daughters were traveling in a Datsun Go on their way to Durban. The woman lost control of her vehicle around 12:30 and rammed into the barrier on the left hand side.
A helicopter was called for the adult female, but she succumbed to her injuries on scene. Her daughters have been transported to a nearby hospital in Vosloorus. Ekurhuleni Emergency Services are on the scene. The highway should be open within the next half an hour.
