A roadblock operated by Nigel precinct officers, was staged on May 5 between 14:00 and 23:00 at the corner of Balfour Road and Eeufees Avenue in Nigel, Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department confirmed.
The suspects were ushered to Nigel Police Station and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol. They are expected to appear in the Nigel Magistrate’s Court soon. In addition to the arrests made, 16 traffic fines were issued to lawbreakers for faulty documentation, moving violations and defects found on motor vehicles.
