The Parabat Veterans Organisation presents an evening with the Recces on March 22 that will take place at the premises of the Old Jail in Jordaan Street.
The Suikerbosrand Canopy invites the public to join them to come and listen to a presentation from Pierre Lundberg – a veteran special forces officer and operator. He will be giving an insight into this very special and little known about unit.
The presentation will cover training, relationship with the Navy and a synopsis of some of the Seaborne Operations executed by the Unit and Sister Special Forces Units.

Lundberg will also provide some detailed insight into the largest of the operations that was conducted in 1986 into the Namibe harbour where an oil storage facility was destroyed and several Russian ships were sunk – having a direct impact on the theatre of operations in Southern Angola.
The presentation will demonstrate the capability, planning and execution of such a mission.
Everyone is welcome to attend the function that will kick off at 18:00 for 19:00 on March 22.
Dress is informal and guests are invited to stay for a bring and braai afterwards.
