Eskort’s CEO launches its newly revamped butchery on Black Friday

The local butchery has been described by staff members as a second home and many customers travel from far and wide.

HEIDELBERG – Local processed meat producer Eskort has launched its newly revamped butchery in Prinsloo Street with a ribbon cutting ceremony on November 23.

 “It has been a difficult financial year for the company – especially with the outbreak of Listeriosis during March, but we have decided to revamp the butchery and spent around R4 million to create a clean and pleasant shopping environment for our customers. We wish to assure our customers that our products have been cleared of containing listeriosis and we therefore remain positive about our sales and growth of our business,” Prinsloo said during the opening.

The local butchery has been described by staff members as a second home and many customers travel from as far afield as the East Rand, the Vaal triangle and Swaziland to purchase the products they have come to know and trust.

Retail manager Pieter Strydom has also assured shoppers of the freshest pork cuts in addition to the variety offered at the newly revamped butchery. Add to that a ready to eat counter inside the butchery, which offers a variety of mouthwatering meals ranging from meat pies, deboned pork ribs and other snacks. The facility also boasts a biltong counter and related service products such as cheese, cold drinks, bread rolls, snacks, sauces and more.

For the convenience of bulk buyers, Eskort Butchery offers a bulk sales facility designed specifically to meet the needs of the bulk buyer in terms of bulk (and catering) packs, loading facilities, pre-ordering and more.

Eskort Butcheries stock the complete range of delicious Eskort branded products, a selection of prepared hams and an extensive range of smoked and fresh meat that includes gammon, eisbein, kassler rolls and chops, fresh pork chops, roasts, marinated and smoked pork ribs, marinated pulled pork, braai sensations and selected beef and chicken cuts. Lard is also available at our Butcheries.

The butchery is open from 08:00 to 16:00 on Mondays and from 08:00 to 17:30 on Tuesdays to Fridays.

They are open from 07:30 until 13:00 on Saturdays and selected public holidays, but closed on Sundays.
