Subway bridge at Heidelberg Mall to be re-opened in time for festive season
Construction and repair work have finally commenced on the subway bridge at Heidelberg Mall.
The subway entrance was closed for public use on February 4, due to structural damages caused by a heavy downpour of rain.
Repair work will include complete reinforcement of the bridge structure as well as stabilisation of the soil to prevent mudslides from occurring during heavy downpours again.
Gaborena Construction have been contracted to do the repair work and contract workers said the work will be complete by mid-December, whereafter the subway entrance will be re-opened for public use.
