Balfour has a new, bigger and better state of the art library, says spokesperson of Dipaleseng Municipality Phindile Sidu.

This new library has many features which include a study room, computer centre, audio visual room and a children’s room.

Phindile states that the community is welcome to visit and make use of all the exciting facilities available at the new improved library. She further said that the construction of the roughly 500m² library project commenced in June 2015 and was practically completed in September 2017 at a cost of R10 million.

It was implemented by the Mpumalanga Department of Public Works on behalf of the Department of Culture, Sport & Recreation for the community of Dipaleseng.

The library is situated next to the municipal building in Balfour and is open from 08:00 until 16:15 on weekdays and open until 15:15 on Fridays.

The library has no functional landline at the moment.
