Nigel’s customer care manager retires after 37 years

Well deserved rest for Joubert after 37 years of dedicated service

When Lidia Joubert (Nigel’s customer care manager) closed the office door behind her on September 28. It marked the end of her 37 year career. And the start of her reiterment from the City of Ekurhuleni (CoE).

Lidia was appointed as customer relations manager for Nigel and Duduza Municipality on March 1.
Her career started on 1 March 1981 when she was appointed as mayoral secretary and she worked her way up the ladder towards 2007. Then she was appointed customer relations manager in Tsakane.

During 2013 she transferred to Boksburg where she had worked until her recent relocation to Nigel Customer Care Services.

During her career, her roles and responsibilities were to manage all aspects of service delivery and to identify, rectify and monitor shortcomings in the standard of service delivery. She was highly focused on improving service delivery within the municipality.

Apart from doing a little gardening, Lidia told HERAUT she has no plans for the immediate future, but she is considering her options and may even embark on a new journey eventually.
