Sounds of the Gauteng Polmusca festival rocked Duduza on Friday

The 2018 Gauteng Polmusca festival is an extravagant event where members of the Police showcase their love for music, food and cultural attire and dance.

This year’s event was hosted by the Duduza Multipurpose Centre and took place on August 17. According to Sgt Harry Manaka – SAPS Duduza Corporate Communication Officer, the festival forms part of the department’s ‘Project Harmony’ and was marked by a number of build-up campaigns which benefit the community of Duduza and surrounding areas.

The 2018 Gauteng Polmusca festival also saw performances by MOM Seboni Secondary School choir, the senior choir from Botle Botle Care for the Elderly and a choir from the Tsakane Elderly Care Centre. Sgt Manaka said the community was treated to a spectacular show, which also served as a send-off for the Gauteng SAPS participants who will compete at the national Polmusca Festival to be held in Kimberley next month.
