Police concerned after armed robbery at Nigel residence

Nigel residents are warned to be on the lookout for a suspect vehicle that was involved in a house robbery yesterday (June 26).

SAPS Nigel issued a statement, warning residents to be on the lookout for a grey hatchback vehicle (possibly a VW Polo or Hyundai i20) with four to five passengers driving around the Visagiepark/Ferryvale neighbourhood.

This follows a house robbery which occurred at Scarborough Road, Ferryvale on June 26 when a group of African males entered a residential property around 07:30.

Nobody was injured during the incident, but the suspects (who were reportedly armed) made off with household items and jewellery worth thousands of rands.

No arrests have been made and residents are warned to be vigilant at all times and to immediately report suspect vehicles by phoning SAPS Nigel on 011 812 6503/11.

To join forces with Nigel CPF, phone Delia on 082 553 8826.
