Motorcyclists from ‘Bikers Ride Against Farm Murders’ pay visit to Nigel

If you think that bikers are just a bunch of hooligans riding around wreaking havoc and making trouble, you are mistaken.

By taking a closer look, one will find that the common misconceptions people have about bikers are quite easily shattered and more often than not there is a charity or worthy cause that is reaping the benefits of their rallies, runs and gatherings.

As was the case when members of the Bikers Ride Against Farm Murders embarked on a quest of hope to address the scourge of farm murders in the country and visited Nigel on June 9 to hand over a petition letter to SAPS Nigel station commander Lt Col Senzangakhona Mohale. After adding his signature to the document, Lt Col Mohale undertook to forward the document to the provincial commissioner.
The project’s vision is to unite bikers and biker clubs nationally to honour the thousands of farmers that have been brutally murdered and more importantly support farmers who live in constant fear of being the next victims. Their aim is to stop farm murders, stop abuse in old age homes, stop woman and child abuse and help where they can to feed the hungry and give some warmth to those who are cold.
Their aim is to raise awareness and promote healthy relationships between SAPS and the communities they are employed to serve.
