Jameson Park for the second day without electricity

Eskom hopes to restore the problem today.

Residents of Jameson Park had to endure days without electricity after faulty electrical cables at the power station caused disruptions.

Arthur Thokoane (spokesperson) of Lesedi Local Municipality says the problem is due to ageing infrastructure and the wet weather conditions triggered the problem further. Work to replace the cables was delayed yesterday due to the rain, but Eskom is hopeful that the electricity will be restored this afternoon.

UPDATE: The electricity was restored at around 13:00 this afternoon.
