The deputy principal of Edalinceba Primary School in Duduza, Nigel, was shot and killed this morning.
The shooting took place in the administrative building of the school around 11:30 after three men gained access to the premises by posing as electrical contractors.
One of the men informed the security guard that he had an appointment with the deputy principal to conduct electrical work at the school.
The security guard informed the school secretary accordingly and she called the deputy principal from his office.
As he stepped out of his office, the suspects opened fire, killing him instantly.
The motive is unknown. The suspects fled from the scene in a red Mazda 323 with a false registration.
