Community pools now open for the swimming season
The City of Ekurhuleni’s community swimming pools are now open to the public.
Gates to some of the city’s swimming pools were officially opened on Friday, (September 08) for the long awaited splish splash season. In preparation for the swimming season, some of the pools went through an extensive renovation process.
This included concrete painting; repairs to tiles; expansion joints; plumbing and electrical faults and the use of cleaning chemicals amongst others. Ekurhuleni has three types of pool categories with different facilities.
Category A boasts indoor heated swimming pool and is an arena for competitive swimming competitions while category B pools are mainly outdoor pools with grand stands and category C pools are standard with basic amenities.

Category A: DELVILLE
05:30 – 20:30 Tuesday – Thursday
05:30 – 18:00 – Friday
10:00 – 18:00 – Saturday
14:00 – 18:00 – Sunday
Category A: BOKSBURG NORTH
05:00 – 20:00 Tuesday – Thursday
05:00 – 17:30 – Friday
10:00 – 18:00 – Saturday
14:00 – 18:00 –Sunday
Category B AND C:
Tuesday – Saturday 10:00 – 18:00
Sunday and Public Holidays – 14:00 – 18:00
All pools are closed on Mondays.
Entrance fee to community pools according to their categories are as follows:
Category A – R 15 PP
Category B – R 10 PP
Category C – R 5
