Julia Molema and her team are looking after 11 disabled children in a small three bedroom house in Extension 6, Ratanda.

Ratanda’s SAPS and CPF Youth Desk teams have made it their mission to help the Atlegang Stimulation Centre for disabled children who are in desperate need of food, kitchen utensils, a stove, fridge, clothes for the children, bedding and furniture.

The group, together with interested community members brought food, clothes and blankets (which were bought out of their own pockets) yesterday in celebration of Mandela Day.

Members of the South African Army Gymnasium and JW Luckhoff CYCC also visited the children and elderly of the Lebone drop-in-centre and the Lesedi Show Choir gave a special performance at the centre.

If you want to assist the Atlegang Stimulation Centre, phone Julia on 078 662 1688.
