A man was killed when he was hit by an oncoming vehicle when he crossed Jacobs Street in rainy conditions on Saturday night.
The man was travelling in a bakkie when it stopped next to the road across from Heidelberg Mall at around 18:30.
Bystanders said the man stepped from the vehicle apparently after he had an argument with someone in the vehicle.
He was declared dead on the scene by Elzona Meyer from Emer-G-Med.
