Five babies were born on New Year’s Day at Heidelberg Hospital. The first baby arrived at 03:15. The hospital also welcomed five more babies on Christmas Day.
No babies were born on Christmas Day at Life Suikerbosrand Hospital, but Kebaabetswe Thlolo Pule was welcomed into the world at 17:06 on New Years Day at the private hospital.
