Heidelberg Police catch burglars

Suspects meet their match when they attempt to break down door in broad daylight.

Three male suspects between the ages of 40 and 41 years have been arrested after they attempted to break into a house in Sutlej Avenue, Shalimar Ridge yesterday morning at 10:30.

According to Captain Thivhulawi Tshilate (spokesperson of Heidelberg SAPS) the suspects were spotted whilst breaking a wooden door. Their attempts failed and they left the scene in a Renault Sandero.

Members of the public who saw them phoned the police. Constables Nndwakhulu Singo and Tseko Motaung managed to corner the suspect vehicle.

All three suspects were apprehended and three screwdrivers which are perceived as house breaking implements were found inside their vehicle.
