Armed robbers hit and kick petrol attendants

Get away with cash and cigarettes

Two armed robbers attacked two petrol attendants of the Caltex petrol station on the R23 on June 18 at 01:30. The petrol attendants were surprised by the robbers who threaten to kill them if they did not cooperate.

They were kicked after they were forced to lie on the floor and one of the workers was hit in the head causing him to bled profusely. The robbers got away with an undisclosed amount of cash as well as cartons of cigarettes to the value of R3 500.

They fled on foot. The injured man was treated on the scene.
