Heidelberg commuters were met with the sight of an overturned police vehicle early Saturday morning on the R23 close to Heidelberg Correctional Services. The Duduza Police vehicle collided with a Toyota Yaris who ended up on the opposite side of the street in a ditch.
According to Captain Thivhulawi Tshilate (spokesperson) of Heidelberg Police Station, the police vehicle bumped the Yaris on the back right bumper causing the driver to loose control. In the process, the Toyota Hilux double cab overturned.
No one was seriously injured.
