Heidelberg Police Station is Number 1 in Gauteng
Patrollers of Heidelberg CPF and the community commended for their part.
Heidelberg SAPS is the number one performing police station in Gauteng and Vereeniging Cluster. The station (which include Heidelberg Detective Branch) is also the number one station in South Africa with regards to handling complaints and action timing (the time it takes police to react to a call out).
The station is in the overall category the 26th best performing police station in the country. Stations are judged on various criteria such as handling of complaints, the amount of crime in the area, investigations and successes, human support and administration.
Colonel Hennie Maass (station commander), Lieutenant Colonel Amanda Viljoen (VISPOL commander) and Lieutenant Colonel Barend Groenewald (detective branch commander) emphasised that Heidelberg SAPS would not have achieved the top position without the contribution of the community and members of Heidelberg CPF.
Brigadier PP Mokoena (Vereeniging Cluster commander) commended patrollers of Heidelberg CPF for their dedication (with the help and due to the good relationship with police) in keeping residents of Heidelberg safe.
