This is a crime summary for the week of 21-28 September.

SECTOR 1

An armed robbery by five suspects occurred at a Somali owned shop in Noord Street. Police have warned the public to be on the lookout for a silver Toyota Tazz with tinted windows and a learner driver sticker in the back window. The registration numbers are JTP282GP. Four suspects robbed two people in Republic Street of their cellphones. Nigel CPF assisted the police and two of the suspects were later apprehended. SECTOR 2

An attempted armed robbery was reported in Ikley Road and police have warned to be on the lookout for a silver Nissan X-trail. A suspect broke into a garage of a property in Hull Street. Nigel CPF assisted the police in apprehending the suspect, but no charges were laid by the home owner and the suspect was later released. An armed robbery occurred at Fat Cake City at the Ferryvale Shopping Centre. The suspects fled in a white bakkie (possibly a Corsa, NP200, 1400 small bakkie). One suspect was described as having dreadlocks and wore a red shirt and brown cap. The suspects also carried a Castle cooler bag. SECTOR 3

A partly decomposed body was discovered in Disa Street, Jamesonpark. The deceased’s identity is unknown, but according to the police the body appears to be that of an elderly male person. Anyone with information can phone SAPS Nigel.
