Minister Faith Muthambi slams media at Imbizo in Heidelberg
The Minister said transformation in the media is too slow and that the media is distorting facts about Nkandla and Marikana.
Minister Faith Muthambi (Minister of Communications) this morning attended an Imbizo in Ratanda, Heidelberg. The theme of the Imbizo was ”The Youth – our history, our future”. The minister said she knows that the biggest challenges of the youth of today are unemployment and poverty. She took the opportunity to slam the media about drawing their own conclusions and not adhering to the principal of balanced news reporting. She said the media is distorting facts about Nkandla and Marikana with so called unnamed sources. “Who are these unnamed sources and what are their agendas?”
Minister Muthambi also said that the transformation process in the media is too slow.
The minister was in the media the past couple of months about controversial issues such as the hiring and firing of the SABC’s top staff and removal of board members.
