Tear free first day for Nigel’s Grade-1 learners
As easy as 123 for this year's Grade-1 learners who started their careers this week.
With so many preparatory classes children have to attend these days, that first day in the ‘big school’ is no longer that traumatising experience it used to be.
At Nigel Primary School, Laerskool Tini Vorster and Laerskool Hannes Visagie all the Grade-1 teachers confirmed that January 11 was a tear-free day and that it was more a case of excitement when the learners started their careers.
If anyone cried, it was some of the parents who had to deal with the fact that their babies are growing up far too fast for their liking.
