Doggy’s day out
Nigel SPCA hosted its first annual Dog Walk event at Heunes Farm on August 1.
Taking in the pleasant weather and taking on the 1,5km obstacle course consisting of weaving through poles, climbing steep hills, jumping through rings and crawling through tunnels, were around 65 four legged participants. The course provided not only physical, but also mental stimulation.
Management of Nigel SPCA did a splendid job keeping things timely and organised and several volunteers provided assistance. The event raised approximately R2400 and kennel manager of Nigel SPCA Hazel McLuckie has thanked their sponsors and registered participants for contributing to the success of the event.
