Come share in colour run fun

The annual colour run will take place on November 6 at the Nigel Bowling Club.

NIGEL – Earth Owl will be hosting a colour run and market on November 6 at the Nigel Bowling Club.

“The idea behind the colour run is to add to community upliftment,” said Roché Pepler, one of the co-founders of Earth Owl.

“We would like to use the money made from the event for the various community projects in town, such as tree-planting projects and more clean-up projects.

“These projects will mainly be focused in the Nigel and Heidelberg areas.

“The other reason for the project is to help with our agricultural skills development programme.

“This will enable us to continue helping children learn more about agriculture and to help us gather the resources needed for the programme to continue.”

From 10:00 on the day, the community will be able to enjoy a local market with live entertainment at the event. The 5km colour run will start at 17:30 for 18:00 and a random spot prize will be up for grabs.

During the colour run, participants can help Earth Owl’s cause by picking up litter and handing it in at the end of the route.

“Young and old can come and be part of this event,” Pepler continued.

“If you would like to bring your pet to join in on the fun, you will be more than welcome.”

The colour powder that will be used for the event is both environmentally friendly and bio-degradable.
Entrance fees are R30 per adult, R20 per child and R5 per pet.
