Phase 2 online application period will begin on September 13
Phase two will subsequently end on October 8.
The Gauteng Department of Education (GDE) remind parents and guardians that phase one of the 2022 online admissions application period will close on September 3 at midnight.
Gauteng Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi said, “We can confirm that as of September 2, a total of 301 510 successful applications were recorded. “Accordingly, the phase one online application period specifically targeted parents and guardians whose children are currently in Grade Seven at public schools in Gauteng and will be going to Grade Eight in 2022.
“We are indebted to parents and guardians who have managed to successfully apply and wish to encourage those who did not apply to do so urgently. “Those who seek assistance may visit our district offices/walk-in centres, or continue to interact with our contact centre 0800 000 789.
“We urge parents and guardians who had already applied to urgently upload the required documents online or submit them at the school(s) they applied to.”
It is important to note that the phase two online application period will begin on September 13 and this will be for parents and guardians of children going to Grade One and Grade Eight in 2022 but are not in a public school in Gauteng.
Phase two will subsequently end on October 8.
