Heidelberg SAPS and CPF collaborate to fight crime

The police and CPF members managed to search at least 280 people.

Heidelberg police and CPF patrollers arrested a middle-aged male suspect for possessing dagga during operation O Kae Molao on April 23.

The joint operation was conducted within the Heidelberg policing precinct at 9am.

CPF patrollers and police walked the streets of Heidelberg town and surrounding suburbs to show visibility.

The Heidelberg SAPS media liaison officer, Capt Thivhulawi Tshilate, said they searched at least 280 people, three liquor outlets and two scrap metal dealers to monitor compliance.

Tshilate thanked the CPF, adding they aim to create a safe and secure environment for the public.
