Final tribute to Galaxy a heartwarming story
This was a final tribute from friend and supporter Lindie Stassen, founder of Hands of Hope and who supported #teamgalaxy since 2015.
Galaxy Children’s Village was recently blessed with brand new tiles in their bedrooms and living area. The old wooden flooring which proved to be irreparable were replaced with beautiful new tiles.
This was a final tribute from friend and supporter Lindie Stassen, founder of Hands of Hope and who supported #teamgalaxy since 2015. She passed away in August 2018.
“Lindie was instrumental in arranging all extramural activities for Galaxy Children’s Village and also sponsored two pre-school kiddies as well as arranging all medical equipment and first aid kit,” Theresia van Heyssen (house mother) said.
Not only was Lindie a supporter, but also a firm friend of the Galaxy Children and whenever there was any news to share, Lindie was at the top of the list. The home would also wish to thank Bettie, Lindie’s mom for driving this final tribute and making it a reality.
“Galaxy Children’s Village is grateful for this invaluable support, thanking the late Lindie Stassen, Hands of Hope and Bettie Stassen for this final tribute to the loving memory of Lindie,” Theresia concluded.
