Heidelberg SPCA needs your help

Heidelberg SPCA appreciates all the support from its members and the community and would like to invite more people to become part of the SPCA family by becoming a member.

Do you want to make a difference in an animal’s life but you’re not sure how and you also don’t have lots of time on your hands? Then why not become a member of your local SPCA as it is a great way to do this.

Being a member of your local SPCA has its advantages as it is a great way of making a difference in the welfare of animals without having to commit to regular hours or tasks.

You don’t have to be a committee member to be a SPCA member, but your voice is appreciated.
You will mainly assist with fundraising initiatives, including but definitely not limited to helping by participating in dog walks along the Blesbokspruit with other community members and their fur-babies. If you don’t want to interact with the animals, you can help by utilising your creative thinking to help us dream up more fundraising initiatives.

You can also assist in organising and taking part in fun days or in Heidelberg SPCA’s  awesome bookshop (unpacking, sorting and packing books, helping customers, having a friendly chat) and you will be surprised at some of the gems you might find in the bookshop yourself.

You can help with awareness and education in societies where there is ignorance on how to care, love and appreciate all furry, feathery and scaly companions.

You might have other skills on offer such as maintenance of the kennels, gardening or whatever quirky and unique talent you might have.

You don’t have to be a pet mommy or daddy to be a member.  Spread the word of the beautiful animals waiting for adoption at the kennels. The more awareness out there, the more chance an animal finds its fur-ever home.

Join Heidelberg SPCA as a member today. Phone Pauline at  016 342 4114 between 08:00 and 15:00 to get involved.  Visit the kennels at 1 Retief Street (near Multivac) to see what furry friends they have available. Keep in mind that puppies and kittens will only be available to homes based in Heidelberg. Adult animals however, may be relocated to other towns.
