Shalimar Ridge Youth Desk launched

Heidelberg SAPS launched the Youth Desk at Shalimar Ridge on August 8.

A group of newly recruited patrollers to assist with various duties was also introduced during the launch.

“The formation of the two platforms will assist the unemployed youth of Shalimar Ridge and hopefully keep them from being idle at home,” said Constable Doris Nkosi Heidelberg, the SAPS corporate communications officer.

“The Youth Desk will also work hand in hand with social crime prevention in conducting community activities and engagements.

“The youth should be able to identify their problems and be able to find solutions for all those challenges.”
