NIGEL - Several athletes from Alrapark Secondary School qualified for participation in the Ekurhuleni East Athletics Championships that took place on February 26.

NIGEL – Several athletes from Alrapark Secondary School qualified for participation in the Ekurhuleni East Athletics Championships that took place on February 26. They are: Logan Jacobs (boys u/17 shotput and discus), Kingdom Madala (boys u/17 800m), Andries Matmaka (boys u/17 1500m and 3000m), Elfonzo van Schalkwyk (boys u/19 tripple jump, long jump and javelin), Teboho Motaung (boys u/19 high jump, long jump and 100m), Mbali Mngomezulu (boys u/19 800m and 400m), Zenith Alexander (boys u/19 shotput, discus and javelin), Vusimuzi Nhleko (boys u/15 800m), Junior Kamohelo (boys u/15 800m), Rene Phiri (girls u/19 800m and 3000m), Geronimo Ceaser (boys u/15 3000m and 1500m), Nhlanhla Nkabinde (boys u/17 1500m and 800m), Masesi Thindwa (girls u/15 200m) and Elrico Coetzee (boys u/15 high jump). NIGEL – Mrs Cheryl Lottering and Mrs Vuyeye Malete from Alrapark Secondary School shared the achievement award for Grade 12 Afrikaans (first additional language) in the Best Educator Awards Ceremony that took place at Springs Civic Centre on February 5.
