Outreach by Devon SAPS and stakeholders

Devon SAPS and various other stakeholders celebrated elderly safety awareness at Sithembiso Hall on October 29.

The stakeholders included the Devon, Nigel, Duduza, Kathlehong and Reiger Park SAPS, the Department of Community Safety, SASSA, the Department of Social Development, the Department of Health, CPF, patrollers, GBV brigades and NGO Queeneth Strength for Woman.

The stakeholders spoke to the elderly in the community about crime, how to report cases and senior citizens’ rights.

On October 30, Devon SAPD visited Emmanuel Baptist Church to show their support to the community.

The police addressed crime and related challenges, resources available, mobile customer service centre, negative publicity, and sector reports.
