ATM bombing at Kaydale Supermarket

The bombing occurred in the early morning hours of February 16.

According to police spokesperson W/O Madeleine von Wielligh, a female worker pressed the panic button after she heard a loud noise outside the supermarket.

Upon arrival of a security guard and members from SAPS Nigel, the supermarket worker reported that she heard a noise, but never saw any suspects or suspect vehicles.

As the police investigated the scene, they discovered that the robbers did not succeed in blowing up the ATM to such extend that they would be able to reach the money.

There was also no trace of the suspects in the area.

The bombing is being investigated by die police.
