Dedicated work leads to successful conviction

Heidelberg’s top detective does not let sleeping dogs lie.

Sergeant Musa Sydwell Maluleke from the Heidelberg SAPS detective branch worked nonstop on a house robbery case to ensure a conviction.

With the dedicated work and investigations that went into ensuring the conviction, it can be seen in the outcome of the case.

The house robbery case occurred on August 12 on the Boschfontein small holdings.

On September 8 at the Heidelberg Magistrate’s Court, the accused was found guilty on all three charges against him. He was imprisoned – on count one to 10 years for robbery, count two to 10 years for committing a house robbery and count three to two years imprisonment for being illegal in South Africa.

The accused is a Malawian citizen.

Heidelberg station commander Colonel Phiwe Ndwandwe said, “We applaud the investigating officer Sergeant Maluleke for a job well done and bringing hope to a safer community.”
