Smokie postpones tour to SA

Smokie will no longer be performing at Carnival City in March.

In light of the recent announcement by President Cyril Ramaphosa regarding emergency measures to stop the spread of the coronavirus outbreak in South Africa, Lefra has decided to postpone the Smokie concerts that were due to be held at the end of March 2020 at Carnival City, Grand West in Cape Town and Time Square in Pretoria.

Frans Swart, managing director of Lefra Productions, said that the Smokie tour is only postponed and definitely not cancelled.

Lefra is currently in discussion with Smokie’s management and the venues to find suitable dates later this year for the concerts to continue.

The new dates will be announced shortly.
