Thunder drops his much-anticipated EP

Thunder Ndlovu, also known as Red Beatz, shares a new wave featuring kwaito, Trap and Shona music in his latest six track EP (extended play), Purple Range which dropped on Thursday.

Germiston local, Thunder ‘Red Beatz’ Ndlovu, is finally ready for the city to hear his voice.

Thunder dropped his six track EP (extended play) entitled Purple Range on Thursday.

The EP follows his hit single Loyal which he released earlier this year, to build up momentum for the EP.

Although fans have expressed their disappointment with Thunder over Loyal not being featured on Purple Range, he’s adamant that the lead single, Ngyaz’wisa featuring Baby Panda is set to keep the disappointment at bay.

The EP is set to introduce a new sound produced by Thunder, which fuses kwaito, Trap, as well as sounds from birthplace, Zimbabwe.

“On my recent trip back home I thought to infuse Shona music into my music, although I’m Ndebele, Shona music is all I grew up listening to.

“In essence I’m also paying homage to my country in this EP.”
