A beeline to the Rand Show is worth it all

The Rand Show may be in full swing, but adrenaline is still not at fever pitch, because the best is yet to come.

The 125th anniversary celebration of the Rand Show has introduced a veritable feast of entertainment and competitions with some of Joburg’s hottest finals happening this weekend.

Things are heating up in the kitchen at the JacarandaFM Clash of Ages reality cooking competition.

Joburg’s tastiest chefs have slowly but surely shown their chops as they’ve cooked their way into the finals.

Tomorrow audiences will see the competition narrowed down even further, ahead of the final gastronomic live cook-off taking place on Sunday.

This is one chef showdown you really want to sink your teeth into, so be sure not to miss it.

It’s sizzling hot at the Gaming Entertainment Pavilion this weekend.

The final Fortnite gaming tournament kicks off on Saturday.

The heat is on in the JacarandaFM Clash of Ages reality cooking competition happening at the Rand Show, with the final showdown taking place on Sunday.

With over R100 000 up for grabs, the action is going to be truly explosive as gamers fire on all cylinders to come out tops.

Fanatical fantasy fans can still be a part of the Masquerade Cosplay competition, and the winners of all three cosplay tournament categories, Newcomers, Like a Boss and Beast Mode, will be chosen.

It’s a celebration of creativity and imagination that promises a colourful adventure for all with R30 000 in cash prizes.

The amazing talent that has been highlighted from all across the city has certainly raised the talent bar for all with Joburg’s Talent Show, and this weekend sees the difficult cut to the final 16 on Saturday with the nailbiting final on Sunday.

Singers, dancers, comedians and entertainers have given their heart and soul to make it right to the end, so come along and support because local isn’t only lekker, its guaranteed to blow your socks off.

Drum majorettes will go for gold in the Drum Majorettes Gold Cup all day in the main arena, on Saturday, so come early to secure your spot.

AJ Ellison, a fitness fanatic from the USA, joined South Africa’s Jaco de Bruyn in spreading the benefits of fitness to Rand Show visitors at the Fashion, Beauty and Fitness Expo.

The Zip Zap Circus will be thrilling to the extreme in its final, heart-stopping shows, so be sure not to miss a moment with two shows on Saturday at noon and 5pm, and one show on Sunday starting at 5pm. This sure is one for the whole family to enjoy.

There are still a whole lot of prizes, waiting to be given away.

Unforgettable trips to the 2019 Chelsea Flower Show, stunning Lesotho Highlands Water Project and the gorgeous Kirstenbosch Gardens are still up for grabs.
