Ashleigh Kroll and Gareth Lovell Davies, directors from Stardust Theatre Productions, were also on the VIP list and seated with delegates from the Department of Arts and Culture.

Members of the South African Community Theatre Association (Sancta) were also at the premiere.

The play depicts how Tambo liberated and lead many South Africans to freedom under the apartheid government.

In addition to the production, the metro is hosting an educational tour for learners to the OR Tambo Cultural Precinct in Wattville, Benoni, where Oliver Tambo was laid to rest.

Through this tour, the metro aims to educate the youth of today about Tambo’s courageous legacy.
