The Sunday Times Generation Next Study, now in its 14th year, is the leading annual youth brand preference and consumer behaviour survey.

Leading youth market specialists, HDI Youth Marketeers, polls more than 12 000 youths from around the country, across more than 70 categories to determine what SA’s kids, teens and young adults find on-trend and aspirational.

“We are thrilled that the Sun International brand and three of our properties have been ranked amongst the ‘coolest’ by South Africa’s youth in this year’s Sunday Times Generation Next Awards.

“For any brand to be sustainable in a highly competitive market, it needs to resonate with young people as they possess future purchasing power,” said Rob Collins, Sun International Group’s chief strategy and operations officer.
