New R&B boy band tackles emotions and masculinity

An R&B boy band from Delville is set to launch a 10 track mix-tape later this year.

More Days, an R&B collective formed by eight boys from Delville in September 2017 is set to release their first mix-tape in September.

The group comprises of Onthatile Tsomane (OG Snxper), Esdras Nshimba (Lawd X), Sibusiso Mabombo (Awolf), Brandon Zvavamwe (28th Youngin), Sibusiso Banda (Scotty Pilgrim), Timothy Hole (The Other Kid), Tshepo Chirwa (Ocean Blue) and Junior Mabombo (TJ).

Together they share a musical interest and have merged their singing, rapping and visual arts talents to make their mark in the South African music industry.

More Days describes a new wave of R&B in South Africa, a sound detailing matters of the heart, truth and allowing boys to not shy away from showing emotion.

“Everyone has emotions and not everyone has cars.

“That’s why we have focused our music on tapping into people’s emotions and not the love of or lack of material things, which is what everyone sings about lately,” said 28th Youngin.

“We aim to capture the hearts of our audiences and their imaginations and generate genuine emotions from them.”

Inspired by the likes of ASAP Mob, New Edition and The Beatles, More Days aspires to reach great success by fusing dancehall, R&B and hip-hop genres.

In an industry where lies and betrayal pave the way for many artists, More Days believes that their brotherhood will stand the test of any hardships brought by fame and fortune in the music industry.

“No matter what the state of the industry is, we will always show our truth through our music and use our platform to connect to souls and heal people,” said The Other Kid.

The group is set to release their first mix-tape in September titled Just the beginning.

More Days will release their first single from the mix-tape titled If you had to ask performed and produced by Lawd X on Thursday (June 21) and a second single titled Crazy performed by More Days will be released on Saturday (June 23).
