On the Menu: Chef to bring you magical tastes

Chef André brings contemporary culinary experiences to Aurelia’s Restaurant at Emperors Palace.

Emperors Palace is proud to announce the appointment of André Bezuidenhout as its new Chef de Cuisine at the elegant and contemporary Aurelia’s Restaurant, located alongside the award-winning five-star Peermont D’oreale Grande Hotel.

André brings years of experience to the role, having started out as sous chef at Kloppenheim Country Estate and honing his talents at some of South Africa’s most popular restaurants, including the Saxon Hotel as executive sous chef and Inanda Polo Club’s ‘By Word of Mouth’ (BWOM) restaurant as executive chef.

Renowned for his contemporary yet comforting culinary creations, André brings a unique and delightful flair to every dish that leaves his kitchen, with a love for food that was nurtured from a young age while cooking in his father’s kitchen.

“Joining Aurelia’s team as Chef de Cuisine is by far one of the most exciting opportunities I’ve been afforded in my career,” said André.

“Aurelia’s is where the next 10 years of my career will come to life.

“It will offer me the perfect environment to continue experimenting with different flavours to create memorable experiences for our guests.”
