Youngsters want to get fans moving

Teenagers ready to show the world their talent.

They are young and talented and can’t wait to take the music world be storm.

Grade 10 pupils at Germiston High School Tanaka Nyoni (16), known as Miclocx, and Sibusiso Mabombo (16), known as Sibu, have been making music together for a while.

The hip hop/trap duo, known as Miclocx and Sibu, recently released a song entitled “Fire”, and will be dropping their mixed-tape entitled “Camaraderie”, on October 29.

It features eight tracks, all written by the youngsters.

Asked about their style of music, Sibu said: “We like to create music that makes you move.”

The duo works with two producers, namely, Khotso Moeti and Chofer Entertainment, both based in Lambton.

Their love of music stems to both their Grade Six year and both were inspired by family members; Sibu by his three brothers and Miclocx by his rapper cousin.

The youngsters met in Grade Eight and were supposed to start working on a song together.

However, this didn’t happen and it was only when they formed a group with friends (Suicide Squad SA) that they started to work together as a duo.

They are also currently part of a group called Beastown Entertainment, made up of nine members.

They have great support from their families and recently showed they have what it takes by coming second in the talent competition at their school.

“Now, as the runners-up, we will be performing in a show at the Germiston Stadium on October 15,” Miclocx said.

The boys are excited about this and about the prospect of their careers in the music industry taking flight.

Asked about the goals they currently have for their lives, Miclocx said: “I want to open my own music company and have my own clothing line.”

Sibu said, “I want a lot of things.

“I want my own record deal.

“I already have my own clothing line, called Svbu, so I want to expand it.

“I want to fill up a stadium overseas and own a Bentley.”

It took the pair about a month to record their mixed-tape.

The public can follow them on Instagram svbu; Facebook: Miclocx or Twitter @Miclocx to find out how to get the tape.

“We’d like to give a shout-out to our former group Suicide Squad SA and wish them the best, as well as Lucky Motaung, who is Miclocx’s official designer, and all our friends,” the youngsters said.
