Stand-up comedy at its best

Get ready for a night of hilarity.

SA’s number one and longest running vernacular stand-up show, 99% Zulu Comedy, is heading to Gold Reef City on April 28.

The comedy extravaganza features headline act Sifiso Nene, supported by Siyanda Maphumulo, Siya Seya, Mondli Mzizi and Amawele AseChesterville.

Popular comedian Skhumba Hlophe will be the host of this hilarious spectacle.

Nene is no stranger to the comedy stage, as he has been at it for the past seven years and has earned various accolades, such as SATMAS for the Best Indigenous Comedian and SA Comics’ Choice Audience Choice Award.

It is no surprise that Nene is a favourite among South Africans, as his material is relevant and relates to them.

Young and renowned stand-up comedian Siyanda Maphumulo always offers a touch of ground-breaking and intellectual comedy.

His genuine sense of humour is based on his observation and interpretation of everyday life.

Tembisa-born comedic genius Hlophe will bring his revered kasi interpretation and hilarity that will crack up even the hardest comedy critics.

He is a prominent comedy attraction across South Africa.

His unique sense of humour always leaves the audience in stitches, while he offers his perspectives on life, politics, family and relationships.

“Expect tears of laughter as this much anticipated comedic group returns to Gold Reef City,” said Gareth Kaschula, marketing manager of Gold Reef City.

“The Lyric has established itself as an incredibly popular stand-up comedy venue, attracting many of South Africa’s top comedic acts.”
