Metro set to jazz it up

Calling all jazz lovers to attend an evening of great music.

Jazz is a beautifully diverse genre and like almost all forms of music, it bridges the gap between rich and poor, race and religion.

Hence the metro, in partnership with Music Craft Art, presents the most eclectic mix of local and international jazz music set to mesmerise enthusiasts this festive season with the Music Xchange on December 19 at Carnival City.

At the Music Xchange, Najponk Trio will perform together with South African artists such as Feya Faku, Andile Yenana, Sydney Mnisi, African Jazz Masters and the Four Forty Jazz band.

The partnership between the metro and the Music Craft Art is set to revive the genre of jazz in the city, through the development of a local and international exchange programme.

“In an effort to elevate the arts and culture industry within Ekurhuleni, we will exhaust every avenue to see the industry flourish for the purpose of developing our artists until they are recognised internationally,” said metro spokesman Themba Gadebe.

For more information contact Isaac Maseko at 076 632 7558 or email to isaac@musicraftart.co.za.

The evening kicks-off at 7pm.
