As a precursor to this year’s WPT® Emperors Palace National Championship, which will be held at Emperors Palace between April 10 and 19, a “Battle of the Airwaves” poker tournament was held at the resort and casino, recently.
Among the radio personalities who participated were 5FM’s Rob Forbes and 94.7 Highveld Stereo’s Alex Caige.
It was a good night for Forbes, who won the tournament, gaining a golden seat entry into the main event of the April poker extravaganza and a weekend stay at the 5-star Dóreale Grande Hotel for his efforts with Caige finishing as the runner-up and also receiving a golden seat entry into the same event.
