Best-known for his signature laugh, deadpan delivery and edgy one-liners, UK comedian Jimmy Carr is, without a doubt, one of the UK’s most hotly contested acts on the international stand-up circuit.
Having played to over 1.5-million people on live tours around the world, Jimmy knows a thing or two about making people laugh; and local audiences can expect to laugh until they cry or their sides split, whichever comes first – during his latest show, Gagging Order, which will take place in the Big Top Arena, at Carnival City, on March 29.
But a word of warning: Jimmy doesn’t pull any punches, so be sure to bring an open mind, in fact, UK newspaper, the Independent on Sunday, referred to him as being “as sick as he is slick”.
He’s famous for pushing boundaries, so expect to be entertained beyond your expectations by this award-winning funnyman.
His stand-up achievements to date include winning a British Comedy Award for Best Live Stand Up Tour and a Loaded LAFTA Award for Best Stand-Up.
He has also received a Perrier Award nomination.
