He recounts his athletic path, which led him to compete against the finest at the Germiston Stadium under the Central Gauteng Athletics (CGA) organisation.
Ntuli trains at the stadium during the week and throws discus under the Pacers Athletics Club’s colours.
The Germiston resident began playing rugby for the Nababeep Rugby Club in the Northern Cape.
“I was the team’s first training arrival in 2021. I spent the entire year training with them but never played a single game. It was disappointing, discouraging and heartbreaking.
“I made my breakthrough the following year when I played in the first game of the season and was selected as man of the match.

“I was chosen to represent my district in the ZFM Sub Union rugby tournament. I also won man of the match in my first game.
“I threw discus for the school when I relocated to Germiston to continue my education in electrical engineering at the Ekurhuleni West College (EWC) Germiston campus.
“In 2023, I participated in the College Sports, Arts and Culture South Africa competitions and won every game I played, from inter-house to district. I made it to the nationals in 2024 and finished fourth.
“I received the 2023 best player in the discus throw award from EWC last year. I am the current Gauteng gold medallist for discus,” said Ntuli.

Ntuli has already participated in two CGA leagues this year to earn a spot in the ASA championships.
“I feel at my best now with the stadium close by for practice. Since I play for the senior team of the Germiston Simmer Rugby Club, my love for rugby has not diminished. In soccer, I serve as the goalie. I am a chess player, an athlete and a long-distance runner.”
Ntuli, who works at 78 President Place as a self-taught IT professional, hopes to embark on his entrepreneurial career and run his own IT company.
He now focuses on the CGA leagues to qualify for ASAs.
